Welwyn Wilton Katz is the author of many award-winning books for children and young adults, including the critically acclaimed False Face (Winner of the International Children's Fiction Contest, the Max and Greta Ebel Award), The Third Magic (Winner of the Governor General's Award). She has also won the prestigious Vicky Metcalf Award celebrating her books and her life as a writer for children and young adults. Welwyn and her husband live in Ontario, Canada, with their cat Chloe, who rightly believes she is the focus of their lives. Welwyn's one daughter, Meredith, is a game designer in British Columbia, Canada, and Welwyn misses her very much, both for herself and for the amazing amount that Welwyn has learned from her about writing. This website has been designed to let visitors learn more about Welwyn, the books she has written, and some of the comments people have made about them.
